In the Name of God the Most Gracious the Most Merciful

Praise and Thanks be to Allah ((who created Heavens and Earth)) with His grace and generosity, and He who has bestowed with His nature by which He created humans with fairness ((turning angels into Messengers)), He who reigns with the Truth ((No critics follow its reign)). Prayers and Peace be upon the Master of Messengers, His Family and His Companions, until the Day of Recompense.

We express our farewells with you to the days of the blessed month, asking God his Almighty to enrich our hearts with His benedictions.

Fasting is a mercy since it carries the benediction of obedience, endeavor and soul repentance until it reaches its interest, goodness and salvation when it is illuminated by the lights of the right path. It is a grace since it carries the obligation of gratefulness, gratitude and acknowledgement of the grace that could not be equal, out of all the universal affairs, to any of the personal ones. {Say: “In the Bounty of Allah, and in His Mercy; therein let them rejoice”. That is better than what they amass} (Yunus 58).

The Unitarian, who endured the Fasting with obedience, has gained a pure soul, a right attitude and his feelings became controlled by the significance of obligation required by religion. At this stage, his body is purified, his soul is healed, and thus, this enables him to appear in the Noble Book that God his Almighty wanted as the right path for believers, a truth that illuminates the hearts of the sincere people, a testament that inspires all and a distinction between justice and oppression, rightness and falseness.

The Unitarian believer rejoices when he comes up with tasty fruits. His joy is not for the “bowl” he got, but because the soul obtained by goodness is in fact a soul that illuminates the world since it witnesses the beauty of the humanitarian values no matter to what extent the darkness of the night becomes intense and deep black. His joy does not stem from personal ends, but it is the good yeast contained in the bread and provision of the community, because he gives all the Grace God has granted to him to be a servant in his society, shining for every gleam of hope, so that he would be an example for good morals, rising beyond the defects of disputes and disagreement, telling the truth, far above from the sources of corruption, guiding toward all that is meant to establish rightness, virtuousness and adequacy in his society.

Does victorious resurrection of the society, the reign and the authority exist without the significances of humanity and without the hard work so that every individual enjoys his least rights in living with freedom and dignity {If the fruit of religion in the social field was not limited to the establishment of justice, victory of the truth, evidence of ethics, honor and good example, then what does it stand for}. By this soul, we deserve the joy of the Feast and the joy of the “Iftar”. We have carried over our shoulders the burdens of cultivating the soul, offering goodness, departing from the benediction and prosperity of God in order to serve people, lift injustice, assist indigents and assume the obligation by defending the truth and justice as much as possible.

However, how does the feast appear to us this year and the country is drowned in the unexplored lands of chaos and disorder. This provokes extreme fear and stimulates in us the deep awareness. It urges us to raise the voice and launch the call to all the official and political leaders from all their positions to fasten before it is too late, to cease the current devastation so that we do not lose the opportunity of saving the country from the parts of dissension that are being shown in many places through several attempts and to be conscious of the risks resulting from the conspiracy of the Zionist enemy that is watching over our blood shedding, our tensions and the dissension possibilities that it has the power to provoke and strike.

Dear Lebanese,

We are crossing the storm. It appears to us at times that we are in the sea of darkness but with our firm belief, our deep-rooted convictions in the national principles that have become as clear as sun, our charity that we have expressed in the spiritual leaderships through statements considered as illuminated documents in that Lebanon means as a nation and message and our continuous support to the national leaderships whom we trust by their nationalism and continuous perseverance to pass from our lovely country to the ground of safety with its social, security and political stability. Based on the deep consciousness of the risks of this period, we call the great leaderships in this country to strive, with patience and perseverance to absorb the shakes, overcome the obstacles and face the calamities in a wise procedure. We also address the continuous call to rise over the speech of separation and provocation. We condemn all the kidnappings and adverse kidnappings, as well as all that violates the rights and dignity of humans.

Imposing the respect of the State and guaranteeing the security of all the citizens with no exception are inevitable.

A serious and real dialogue that solves the political controversial issues is inevitable.

Supporting the institutions of the State and the role of the government that should accomplish all its obligations at all levels, in politics, security, economy, social and living situation so that the country does not slip into the dangerous fire is also inevitable.

Supporting the national army guaranteeing the stability of the nation and the safety of its sons is inevitable.

Security institutions to which we grant our trust and acknowledge the role in fighting the crimes if they were entrusted to perform the work without any intervention are also inevitable. We mention the achievements that the Interior Security Forces have accomplished regarding the revealing of the devastative plan that risked to make the country drowned in chaos and bring us back to a new series of assassinations.

The jurisdiction is inevitable so that justice replaces revenge and that the spirit of the State and law reigns.

We address to all the people concerned in the Lebanese affair to be conscious of the necessity of discussing a fair electoral law that guarantees the confidentiality of this national texture, so how could we talk about proportionality before pursuing the “Taef”, eliminating political fanaticism and establishing a senate.

Lebanon beats with its heart, the mountain of Lebanon. Do not ever dare to mess up this mountain.

In the Arab issue, we feel the pain for the incidents that are taking place in Syria of killing, violence and blood shedding. We warn about the horrible sectarian conflict. We ask His Almighty to extinguish the fire on its territories. We call all the dear sons of the Syrian people to adopt the path of wisdom and reason toward a political solution that releases Syria from its calamity to a new period that carries security, dignity and an immunizing armor to its people. We also ask his Almighty at this blessed occasion to grant the Palestinian people patience and perseverance facing the international failure and the Arab division so that they return to the violated land. We welcome the invitation to the Islamic summit at Mecca to fight dissensions between confessions and enhance the Islamo-Christian dialogue. If the Muslims had adopted the instructions of the blessed Book {Say not to anyone who greets you: “You are not a believer”} (An-Nisa 94), or had adopted the noble Saying: {My friends are like the stars, by whatever you guide them, you will convert them}, if they had all done that, they would have agreed and cooperated with each other and they would have been united within the large-heartedness of the Islam and the fraternity of the Muslims. Thus, they would have blocked the way in front of the intriguers and fanatic people. Therefore, they would have become through His Grace, brothers on faced seats.

At the national level, we emphasize the importance of the expected visit of his Holiness the Pope to Lebanon to reinforce coexistence and convergence.

My sons and brothers,

As the date of the new Confessional Council’s elections is getting closer, we address to the group of conscious opinions among the sons of the Community and to the young contributing to the membership, so that their participation would be based on the services they are able to offer in this field or that, with acquittal, freedom of conscience and readiness for service, loyalty and devotion, in order to pursue the process of reviving and building the institution that unites us all. The Confessional Council has committees of different specializations; thus, let our participation be based on our competences. One of the first conditions behind the success of any reviving movement consists in the adoption of sincerity in this choice. The Grace of God his Almighty forces us to rise with our souls, minds and wills to the appropriate level in the responsibility borne by all of us. This matter is tightly related to our obligations, commitments and to the sincerity of our intentions.

To those who arouse suspicions with slander in the Waqfs and their funds and other, we repeat the saying of his Almighty: “Not a word does he utter but there is a watcher y him ready” (Qaf 18). At the Sheikhdom Akl, we certify our commitment and services to all the sons of the Community with no exceptions and certainly reiterate the saying of the Prince Chakib Erslan:

My people will know that I do not trick them, no matter how long the night was, the morning is its complement.

In conclusion, we pray in the morning of this blessed feast, with a joyful heart desiring to be illuminated by its honorable significances, being firm to ask for God’s Grace, Help and Mercy, to eradicate the corrupters and protect the weak people on Earth from the deception of oppressors. God accept our prayers, You the listener and knowing.
