In the Name of Allah the most Gracious the Most Merciful

 Pursuant to the Code of the Organization of the Druze Unitarian Community’s affairs dated June 9, 2006, the competences of the Confessional Council are of a considerable importance in the fields of rebirth, development and progress of our dear confession at all levels. According to the stipulations of the Article 7 in the Code, “the Council shall be charged with managing the temporal, social and financial affairs of the Community as well as its religious interests and its representation in that is related to the duties of the Council by being careful to raise its level and preserve its rights”. The previous period was highly considered as the period of foundation, organization and release from the darkness of the harmful effects left by the years of war that affected the structure of our institutions. Nowadays, we can say that the most difficult period is the one of the constitution of work structures and everything that returns to it, as the elaboration of the by-laws and the adoption of the mechanisms of expenses, accountancy and supervision on sound, transparent and accurate bases that have elapsed.

It is true that the workshop of foundation and new start consumed from us lots of efforts and time and we should not neglect taking into consideration the persistent efforts to reorganize the endowments documentation basis. These abundant endowments have real estates of minimal incomes, since the largest part of them is not invested and most of their lease contracts are old, not to forget the problematic resulting from the considerable obstacles provoked by the chronic facts residing in the earth all through the centuries.

Based on the Articles 15 and 16 of the aforementioned Code, and whereas the period of the Confessional Council legally ends by the elapse of six years as of the date of the accomplishment of its members elections, we inform our sons about the date of the Confessional Council elections for the members of the Druze Unitarian Community and which will take place on Sunday September 9, 2012.

At this occasion, I would like to call our brothers and sons to participate and be aware of the huge responsibility that every individual is charged with, so that candidacy and selection are founded on the bases of sincerity, knowledge and deep understanding to our reality and to the chronic problems it carries, in a way that this opportunity would be the euphoria of hope, the wakening of intentions for action from our sons and the consolidation of the will to progress toward what could fortify the factors of rebirth and progress for the service of our society without discrimination.

That big institution which is the Confessional Council constitutes a House to all of us. The house that grows by the harmony and union of its sons no matter how diversified the opinions were. Let us have this feeling and advance with sincere intentions and honest hearts, so that our house rises on strong bases of solidarity and united power, not only for the service of our society and tribe, but for our nation and country. In fact, the Unitarians were the brave category for the nation with their ethics and heroisms all through their history marked by nobility and generosity, defending dignity, honor and truth. This tribe will remain with the assistance of his Almighty careful to the peace, security and union of the country.
