Beirut, on June 8, 2012
At the death of the Dean of the Lebanese and Arab Journalism the Minister, Deputy and Diplomat Ghassan Tueni, Lebanon has lost one of the most brilliant figures in all fields, he who has raised the voice high to defend Lebanon at the international, Arab and local congresses and anchored in An-Nahar newspaper a tribune for the freedom of opinion, expression and the transmission of truth. He never refrained from supporting the diversified and democratic Lebanon and always called to an Arab world predominated by freedoms, democracy and open intellectual vision. He was the voice that sang the victory of the right Palestinian issue.
He also addressed his deepest condolences to the families of Tueni and An-Nahar, asking God to inspire them with patience and consolation, and to keep the deceased at His ample paradise.
