Facing the strongly troubling news about the horrible violence in Syria that killed dozens and injured hundreds of people at Houla village in Homs, as we declare our condemnation, reproach and firm rejection for it, and facing the regrettable incidents we have reached taking place in the two provinces of Soueida and Daraa, we call our parents in Jabal El Arab, Daraa and Houran to be aware of the seriousness of this period, to stop the malicious dissension from slipping toward them, to maintain fraternal relations between them and to unite by solidarity facing the elaborated plots.
From our spiritual and national position, we call all the sons of the Druze Unitarian Community in Syria, in particular in Soueida, as we address to their wisdom and their reason that appeared and will appear in our customs and values and to the conscience and wisdom of our Sheikhs. We also call the sons of the dear Daraa to unite in order to achieve the revival, progress, democracy enhancement and reform of Syria, not to permit any act that could breach what is related to their coexistence, Arabism and Islam, to persevere in the adoption of convergence, understanding and cooperation so that Syria regains its stability, civil peace and its advanced Arab position as a strong democratic State honored by all its sons.
