At the occasion of the Holy Prophet’s Birth, his Eminence the Sheikh Akl of the Druze Unitarian Community the Sheikh Naim Hassan addressed a letter at the evening of the feast, declaring the following: 

Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the worlds, peace and blessings of Allah upon the Master of Messengers and who follows them to the Holy day 

Our brothers in Islam and humanity,

It is enough for our hearts, at this commemoration, that we meditate carefully to the significances of the Noble verse:  {And we have sent you not but as a mercy for the Alamin} to feel the grace and obey with modesty and hope to a Noble and Merciful, strong and powerful Creator, thanking Him for His mercy, indulgence and the light by which He guided people toward the right path and called them to get out of the first pre-Islamic tribalism spirit and head to the whole humanity, to awake their souls with what his Almighty granted them of graces and spiritual talents to lift them from the bottom of darkness, desire, cupidity and love of presidency and authority so that they reach the good, the virtue and the high noble ethics. It gives us a pleasure, and to our mind, reason and soul as well, to see such a day, as any day that humanity enlightens by the divine message and by the radiation of the sent prophet's message, to inspire and guide us, rather to bathe us by the light if we are able to do so. The light of the message sparkles between our hands, this message for which the messenger was born to notify, He who is the last prophet and the Master of messengers. Yes, it gives us a pleasure to alert our souls to the radiant significances and to the abundances of good that the Holy Koran has revived through the abundance of God's Book, so that we raise the voice in this frightening night and return to the purity of the soul. Obey to the significances of the wise message. Purify yourselves by sticking to that God the Almighty wanted for us of easiness, blessing and grace. We do not achieve this return unless by keeping the soul far away from wickedness, hatred and caprices. We do not reach this purity unless by penitence, which means returning to the purity of the divine speech and achieving its objectives through the noble morals, virtuous attitudes and good acts.

We refuse any policy that drives us out of the light of good. We understand politics through the concept that makes it one of the most civilized and natural sciences since it pivots around justice, is characterized by honesty and aims to serve people who, without their voices, no government nor State could be founded. Inspired by our belief, we raise our voice repeatedly. The scepter of authority is not useful anymore, worries have become the daily bread of the citizens, and even the air they are breathing has become saturated by the smells of conflicts, disputes, quarrels and bad tendencies for desires. Any desire that cannot lift the country toward its nobleness and prosperity is nothing but a distressing desire. The dissension, God not permit it, makes the earth soiled by the blood of innocents. Thus, it would be necessary that all spiritual and political references see their sons through the country not through the community.

          How could we drive our country toward a divided field, while the enemy is always ready to hit us and is watching us continuously with comfort and easiness?

          We obey, at this occasion, to the Almighty and His messenger - God bless him and be with him - to His book and that it carries of noble significances far away from the bad, from any dissension or oppression, asking God the Almighty to keep us under the lee of His mercy, to guide us to what carries the good for us and for people and lift our hearts to what awakens our nation from repression and our countries from the difficulties and calamities. We repeat our complaint that we should all be aware of the risk of the political and press tension, as well as the necessity of fortifying civil peace and stability and solving interior problems with an open mind hoping that this black cloud surpasses Syria and that it returns to its security and stability through the political solutions. God is Clement, Indulgent and Respondent, Happy Feast.
