In the Name of Allah the most Gracious the Most Merciful

Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the worlds, peace and blessings of Allah upon the noblest of the Prophets and Messengers and who follows hem with charity to the Holy day

The believer undertakes today to find an answer to the order of God by reciting silently the act of obedience and asking God, in the wide spaces of his old house for forgiveness and good end. As he stands right to recite the poems remaining from his blessed journey and that are of a specific target, we can see him protected by the armor of piety, feeling the significances of his faith, sinking in the melodious proverbs of the praiseworthy and being pretty sure of the good and repentance that God his Almighty wanted for him when He prepared to His prophet Ibrahim (Peace and Blessings of Allah be upon him) the place of the house and ordered him to build it and purify it from curses, distrusts and vices. Then the Almighty said: “And proclaim to mankind the Hajj (pilgrimage). They will come to you on foot and on every lean camel, they will come from every deep and distant (wide) mountain highway (to perform Hajj)”.

It is an invitation that supports the seeking of a man for the good that constitutes the noble aim created by God his Almighty, so that he strives to achieve with a purified heart, a clear conscience and a considerable effort. As the Islam calls for the solidarity of the community and their harmony around the word of Unitarianism, therefore it has anchored the basis of justice without which no society in process of development could be founded. As for us, according to the obligation of obedience imposed on us, we call continuously and with pleasure to follow the order of justice and obey with humility to what is imposed on us by the praised ideals of the obligations toward ourselves, our society and our nation.

My brothers, when we ask his Almighty today to unite us all together in the lee of His good will, this means that we should be worthy of accepting the generous patient and the powerful strong, and thus, this requires that we seek continuously and attentively to improve the feelings, reform the acts according to the targets of verses and purify the soul from anything that might transgress the truth. In front of the mirror of truth, the Unitarian can do nothing but obey to God with humility, modesty and humbleness of soul. This is reflected inevitably on all the attitudes of the Unitarian in his society, his village and his house. Thus, our feast will be marked by the spiritual character we aim and strive to achieve.

My brothers, defying the problems that our society is facing in many fields could not be fruitful and successful by separation and division of wills. The divergence in the points of view should not have any negative effects on the mechanisms of social activity, since the main interests of society should be far away from any conflicts related to the political field. The interest of society should be the noble target of our permanent seeking for its development, prosperity and liberating people from any worries, those people who are expecting from us achievements that are meant to give them back some of the rights due on us. We do not find in this noble direction any right way other than the cooperation between institutions to support them, reinforce their activity, strengthen the mechanisms of their move according to the rules of law and transparency, progress from despotism in this field to the real spirit of teamwork that opens the horizons toward life and productive work to our young generation that are expecting from us with hope, the achievement of a part of their dreams and hopes, a promising tomorrow and a shining future.

Uniting efforts for serving in the public field and working seriously to perform the achievements that are useful to men, constitute the basis through which we reach the good that we are all looking for. However, this imposes on us the obligations of a sincere commitment and the sense of responsibility regarding the preservation of the essence of noble teachings. We are pretty sure that nothing could ever stop the will of the good other than clinging to the personal interests, referring to egoism and limitation, not caring for the reality of division and separation, and giving up to the reality that prepares for the factors of division and aversion. How difficult it is to live like a foreigner between parents and brothers. This is what our conscience refuses and our feelings keep away, because it contradicts fundamental principles considered as roots in our real heritage. We would like to emphasize the significance of the feast with obedient and fearful hearts, feeling that the real bread that God his Almighty accepts is the one of the sacrifice in the chances of the soul for the public good, devoting the spirit for public interest and being liberated from the limited space of the individual vision to the space of truth. The highness of Unitarianism requires that we rise to this high level of attitude, to this noble humanitarian scale. We are doing our best in this context, for this reason we substitute rudeness with charity, aversion with harmony and speeches of personal interests with the consolidation of a collective and productive work. We work hard so that we become free of any responsibility towards our only and unique God and our conscience shows solidarity with the one who has finished his obligations beyond the demand.

At the Confessional Council and the Sheikhdom Akl, we emphasize our will to gather and unite, with the spirit of sincere patronage and wise responsibility, all the sons of the community wherever they are, and we aspire with an ardent desire, to achieve a civilized and perfect vision in a way that realizes the ambitions of the loyal and aspirant people tward a shining future for the sons of the Druze Unitarian Community.

The incidents that the Arabian region in general is facing make us hopeful and worried at the same time. On the first side, the hope that all Arab people are able to make the capacities of their young generation fruitful until they achieve justice for their societies through régimes governed by security, stability, justice, reform and dialogue, in a way that offers real opportunities to activate the common Arabian work related to the urgent cases, at their top the Palestinian case that is subject to Israeli attempts for liquidation through colonization, Judaism, pressures, crimes and violence. On the other hand, worries are also a part of the consequences of this regrettable situation, aggravating violence and shedding blood, which alerts about dangerous risks, and this is what we and the persons charged with the superior interest and development of the neighboring Arab people are avoiding.

In Lebanon, we hope, with the apparition of this blessed feast, that politicians and officials take the initiative, each one from his position, to offer their sacrifices in order to meet on the table of dialogue and solve all the conflicts far away from the language of treason, tensions and aversion that trouble the Lebanese, and we hope that they find the fast ways to keep Lebanon in a good relation with its neighbors and Arab brothers in the region and all over the world. We also hope that they strive to review the ways that help Lebanon remain in a calm state, by keeping away the separation between its son and anchoring the strength and immunization of Lebanon in front of the Israeli enemy, which means the necessity to fortify the armament of the Lebanese army, because the resistance should remain as long as the land is occupied. They should also look for transparent means to invest and preserve the natural wealth of Lebanon, to find quick solutions guaranteeing the solutions of the urgent living conditions affairs of people, due to the aggravation of their living conditions. In any way, the Lebanese State and its organisms shall be charged with the achievement of their duties to preserve security.

We ask God his Almighty to make it a blessed feast, and we address to our brothers in faith and to the Moslems, as well as all Lebanese the best wishes at this blessed religious occasion, hoping that this feast offers to the Lebanese, Arab and Moslems all the good, keeping their worries away, strengthens their coexistence as Christians and Moslems and preserves Lebanon and our nation from any bad incident. May God revive it to you with good, prosperity and blessings, He hears and answers us.
