His Eminence the Sheikh Akl of the Druze Unitarian Community the Sheikh Naim Hassan delivered a speech to the believers at the occasion of the Fitr at the place of the Prince Abdallah El Tannoukhi in Abey, in presence of a big number of personalities and inhabitants.

After having finished the prayer, his Eminence the Sheikh Akl the Sheikh Naim Hassan delivered the speech of the feast, in which he mentioned the significances of the occasion and "the faithful significances mentioned in the sacred Koran, the fruit of Unitarianism leading to salvation, and that the salvation of human consists that he lives the peace in his soul by forcing it to be amicable and forbidding the abominable. Therefore, the Fitr would be a permission to it from the Creator his Almighty, so that it quenches from His external benefits, by the support He offers, and from the internal ones, by what He makes relive for the soul, and this is the purpose of the feast”.

He insisted on “the need of the society today for the justice witness who testifies the truth with his acts, his attitudes and his detachment from all the secondary interests”, he also said: “the feast is meant to change our souls with its significances, therefore, the state of people changes from disturbance, conflicts and ravishment of the parts, to the state of harmony, solidarity and tight structure. There is a rising generation committed to ethical transparency, moral responsibility, professional honesty, competence and self-amelioration by sincere and pure means, is the only hope that will lead our society to a new and promising horizon, far away from fanaticism and categorization".

He declared: “Nowadays, we are going through a serious period of the age of Lebanon in particular and of the region in general, calling the Lebanese, Arab and Muslim people to “follow their wisdom and to act with reason in all their behaviors, to fortify the union between them, to strengthen tranquility, stability and security in their land, to tell the truth, to adopt dialogue as the only way to solve their issues, to go for the option of cooperation that creates power facing the attackers and the greedy, at their head the devastating entity Israel, and not to lose the compass of Palestine”.

He also insisted on "the fortification of our internal field by the language of understanding, the consolidation of freedom and democracy, the preservation of dignities, the prohibition of confrontations between brothers and the rejection of fanaticism, hates and dissensions, hoping that they hasten to achieve all of them before it is too late”.
