 The press Office of the Sheikhdom Akl for the Druze Unitarian Community issued the following statement: After the constitution of the government so much awaited by the Lebanese people, his Eminence the Sheikh Akl of the Druze Unitarian Community the Sheikh Naim Hassan emphasized the following points:

-         First, we would like to congratulate the Lebanese people for the government's birth, hoping that this would be the title of a new stage that would consolidate the national unity and stability, grant the privilege again to the role of the institutions and accelerate the functioning of the State. In this context, the government is immediately called to announce its ministerial statement, which shall mention the principles of national unanimity and hasten to declare a socio-economic policy that would remedy first and last to the regressive way of life from which people are suffering before political conflicts, and this would be the most difficult and essential exam that the government has to face.

-          The objection expressed by the Prince Talal Arslan for his representation at the government seems clear in its content and this is legitimate when it comes to the right of the Druze Unitarian Community to obtain sovereign portfolios.

-          We valorize the role of his Excellency the President of Republic General Michel Sleiman, his Excellency the President of the Chamber of Deputies Nabih Berri, and the National Struggle Front Leader Walid Joumblatt, and we admire their efforts for having constituted the government.
