His Eminence the Sheikh Akl of the Druze Unitarian Community the Sheikh Naim Hassan condemned the manifest attack that targeted the international forces in South, the “UNIFIL”, and that induced a number of injured among the Italian soldiers who fight for it. As he addressed to the Italian unity and the Italian Ambassador in Lebanon his wishes of an immediate recovery for the military and civil injured, the Sheikh Hassan confirmed the necessity of entering into an immediate and serious investigation about the incident in order to reveal the criminals who are trying to shake Lebanon’s security and stability and to break the strong relation that exists between the UNIFIL and the Lebanese, in particular the inhabitants of the South.

His Eminence also called the international forces to pursue their missions in the frame of the stipulations of the international resolution number 1701, in strong cooperation with the Lebanese army, and to prevent Israel from pursuing its violations. He warned on the other side, that this attack proves to what extent the country is exposed to any risk on the security level, after the extent of political exposition to risks clearly appeared, hoping that the Lebanese officials govern with wisdom for the national interest and hasten as soon as possible to constitute a government that would save the country from falling into the abyss.
