It was issued by the Sheikhdom Akl of the Druze Unitarian Community the following statement: 

His Eminence the Sheikh Akl of the Druze Unitarian Community, Sheikh Naim Hassan saluted the workers at the occasion of their world-wide day, wishing that the situation of the country would be more addressed toward peace, tranquility and stability for all categories of the Lebanese people in general and for workers in particular, considering that they are the salt of the earth, and thanks to them the situation of the country and servants steps forward to reach a better reality.

His Eminence called the concerned directions in the State and the constitutional and executive institutions, as well as employers, to grant to workers all their human, social and financial rights and improve their situation in a way that allows them to survive in a decent way of life, ensuring the future of their families and children as well as their pension insurance. He also invited them to strive to develop their capacities in a way that raises the fields they work in to superior and more developed levels that comply with the requirements of this period. The Sheikh Akl also incited the workers to unify the issues of the way of life they are entitled to, and to prevent any political detail or other from getting into the core of their complaints and corrupting it.

In this context, his Eminence the Sheikh Akl, Sheikh Naim Hassan confirmed that the best that can be offered to the workers at the occasion of their feast for this year and to the Lebanese in general, would be nothing but a helping government which represents the Lebanese society in its diversity and promotes the mission of finding a solution for the worries of citizens at first, without dividing the sons of the same country into categories where some religions are sovereign, while others are not, and assuming to look for a solution for all files in suspense, staying far away from harassments, conflicts and vengeance satisfactions that disturbed and paralyzed the country in the previous period.

His Eminence incited all the Lebanese politicians to take a totally national and conscious position to face the problems that are taking place in the country, and act immediately to solve all conflicts through a sincere and fruitful dialogue, not a formal dialogue that does not lead to any result. They shall also remember, while deciding their positions and announcing their declarations, that there are categories of people who severely suffer from need and deprivation, to the extent that it becomes insulting and hurtful to keep on accepting the delay of the government's constitution so that it strives first, and before any political file, even important ones, to solve the social and economic file without any slowdown, and to grant the lost respect to the State and its entities.
