Before the delicate and dangerous evolutions and circumstances inspiring a separation between the children of the same nation, and given the sensitivity of the period where the doubt of the Lebanese parties in each others reached its maximum, it was necessary to take a strict and decisive position, maintaining the communication between the parties and preventing the interruption of understanding, dialogue and meeting ways, working hard to seek global national solutions. Therefore, the positions of the leader Walid Beik Joumblatt were clear in this framework given that he declared standing at the side of Syria and the Resistance. This is a noble history that will not be erased, it is a present consolidated by the common work, and a future built to preserve the dignity of Lebanon and its civil peace, as well as to preserve the nation’s immunity, its glory and its rights.

Whereas the matters and evolutions expected what they expected from the different political parties in Lebanon, we remind from our religious and public national position, that the community of the Unitarian Druze was always at the head of resistance members against colonization and occupation, the children of the community always bore the emblem of defending the borderlines cities since the Islamic conquests until today. It is not strange to our community to reconfirm its positions today at the side of the resistance line and the wide Arab choice represented by brother states, at the head of which is Syria, with whom the Unitarian Druze community had steps of struggle and common history. 

We have today to renew our call to all the Lebanese, officials, politicians, parties and citizens, to read well the challenges in order to realize their danger, and to know that there is no way for us all to survive the claws of troubles, except through understanding, agreement, accordance and dialogue, to also spare no efforts to get the distances closer between them and to prevent any negative interventions. We confirm the basis of cooperation and collaboration as well as the concepts of dialogue and understanding, the voice of the mind and wisdom being the only way to survival. We stress in these historical circumstances on the importance of the Islamic and National coherence being a preservation of the civil peace, and a prevention of any attempts from the nation and homeland enemies to tear us through fighting each other. We also insist that we all keep the doors wide opened before the good attempts to which we are grateful, and that aim to reach an honored and fair compromise for everybody and which prevents that one party or confession cancel or isolate another.

Hoping that the coming days will bear accordance and agreement signs that will comfort the Lebanese, eliminate their obsessions, guarantee that their state institutions will take the right path and maintain its stability, we ask God to Whom be ascribed all perfection and majesty to inspire consciousness, wisdom and clairvoyance to everybody, we always rely on God and thank Him.
