Speech of His Eminence the Sheikh of Druze Unitarian Confession El Sheikh Naim Hassan to our children in Canada in the Conference of Druze Canadian Asoociation on May 24, 2010

2010-05-24

In the Name of God the Most Gracious the Most Merciful

Praise be to God, Prayer and Peace be upon the master of messengers, his family and companions.

Praise be to God who commanded us piety and charity, forbade us sins and loss and guided us towards the essence of faith.

To our children in Canada,

I asked our respectable emigration committee in the confessional council of Druze Unitarian confession to carry Best Regards to you, wishing health and wellness to your persons and family members, hoping that your meeting shall be blessed and successful, your success certain and that we will see you fine and safe in your home country Lebanon.

Dear Children,

You are in a generous country, blessed by God’s graces; my will is that you will be children to the Earth where you live as you are children to your home country. The Almighty assumed people’s subsistence, but he ordered them to work, so don’t lose your time in un-necessary conflicts, what had gone today from daily bread it may increase tomorrow, and what had gone yesterday of life we don’t wish its return.

Brothers, you have to know that thanking God is a duty in every second of our life, He is the distributor of our properties and counter of our works, he knows the betrayal of our eyes and the secrets of our hearts, he will give whoever relies on him, grants who asks him and rewards who thanks him.

O Dears, the children of our respectable confession enjoyed noble qualities and high morals since the beginning of time, their words were joined by collaboration, solidarity, cooperation and love of brothers but unfortunately we notice its strength during difficulties and distress. Some forget that by thanking the grace will remain. Among the wise sayings:  How good is that man does not commit mistakes, and in case he did he will benefits a lot if he knows that he committed a mistake, and he complies not to repeat the sin or error.

It was also said that reducing harms is better than increasing benefits.

Dear Children,

I wish that the activities of your conferences remain programs attached to our Unitarian ancient traditions and origins, and that your families continue to plant in the souls of your children the culture they inherited from their ancestors, and the right concept about their confession, so that our children and grandchildren will not be confused by our concept in order that the meetings don’t turn to noisy parties. The new generation of young boys, girls and children grows with the internet network without accurate guidance. Freedom does not mean liberation from professional and moral restrictions and moving away from noble educational missions, but virtue remains a virtue and ethics remain ethics to which we shall attach at any time and place.

We ask the Almighty to guide us all to the straight path repeating and saying God guide us to the right and give us the capacity to follow it, and the warding off to reverse it and prevent it, hoping that we will meet again, Goodbye.
