His Eminence Sheikh Aql of Mouwahidoun Druze sect Sheikh Naim Hassan delivered the following declaration: “On the third anniversary for the victory against the Israeli enemy who committed the hugest aggressive attack against Lebanon, its people and institutions, it is necessary to salute all those who participated in defending the country and those who presented their own lives for the sake of this victory and the defeat of the fanatic and aggressive Israeli enemy.

His Eminence then added, “The national assembly around this memory leads to enforce unity and conciliation internally, consolidates peace and civil peace and lay down the foundations of unity and solidarity among Lebanese to face any possible Israeli attack, which might be a practical translation for Israeli increasing and permanent threats. The said threats shall urge all political leaders to abandon violent speeches and facilitate the way to form a new government, what demands maximum vigilance in this critical period.

He finally said, ”We do remember and salute all martyrs of Lebanese citizens, army and the resistance who made, by their pure blood, this victory a reality. We do wish that this occasion be an opportunity to preserve national unity from all threats and dangers.”
