His Eminence Sheikh Aql of Mouwahidoun Druze sect, Sheikh Naim Hassan confirmed that nation unity shall be above any other issue, wishing that the previous conflicts between the Lebanese stay as a part of history, urging them to start a new period based on building confidence and respect among various parties, ensuring diversity and protecting same.

His Eminence delivered this speech in the presence of a delegation of Hezbollah Sheikhs who paid him a visit presided by Sheikh Mohamad Yazbek, the general religious representative and member of the party’s consultative council. Sheikh Hassan welcomed the delegation asking God that the reconciliation efforts among brothers of the same country would be fruitful, for the nobility of the mission and its moral objectives that would result in good benefit, peace, security and dignified living.

His Eminence emphasized on the necessity of close unity among Lebanese for the purposes of the national unity and to face the regional and global challenges, particularly the extremist Israeli threats that tend to hamper all conciliation efforts in the Middle East and block the way in front of peaceful initiatives.

His Eminence also praised the meeting between Asayyid Hassan Nasralla and Deputy Walid Jumblat, considering that it paves the road to a new period based on cooperation, credibility and transparency, in addition to all positive effects this meeting might leave in the country.

He added that resistance is a trait that characterizes all believers in God, and is present in any way of facing occupation and invasion and preserving sanctities.

He then wished that the Islamic Resistance, with all its victories and achievements that states were not able to achieve, stay an ideal symbol in order to consolidate relationships among all Islamic countries.

Sheikh Hasan also wished that all other parties realize how critical this period is and abandon all conflicts and disputes that led to instability in the past few months, urging these parties to cooperate in the formation of the new government, paving the road in front of the constitutional mission after the late parliamentary elections.

His Eminence also mentioned the meetings held between national leaders and parties, saying that they all aim to solidify national unity and internal stability, wishing that all parties consider national interest as a priority above all group and individual interests, for the benevolence of Lebanon.
