His Eminence Sheikh Akl Sheikh Naim Hassan has welcomed the Assistant of the Iranian Foreign Minister for Arab and African Affairs, Hussein Jaberi Ansari, accompanied by the Iranian Ambassador in Lebanon, Mohamad Fathali, on August 22, 2017

His Eminence Sheikh Akl of the Druze Unitarian Community Sheikh Naim Hassan has welcomed at the community house in Beirut the assistant of the Iranian Foreign Minister for Arab and African Affairs, Hussein Jaberi Ansari, accompanied by the Iranian Ambassador in Lebanon, Mohamad Fathali, in the presence of the consultant of the Akl Sheikhdom, Sheikh Ghassan Halabi; where it was an occasion in which His Eminence has stated that all Islamic countries shall deploy their efforts to strengthen the unity of the Islamic nation and to stand together against difficulties, challenges, extremism and terrorism. After this meeting, Ansari has declared:
“I had the honor to visit His Eminence Sheikh Akl of the Druze Unitarian Community Sheikh Naim Hassan, where we enjoyed listening to his speech regarding many matters; Noting that if we review the political history of Lebanon, we could see that the Druze confession has always played a very strong, historical and positive role in preserving the interior equilibriums of our brotherly country, Lebanon. In the last period, this confession has played recently the same beneficent and positive role in promoting the equilibriums and the political consensus in Lebanon and has lead to the election of a new president of the Lebanese republic in addition to political gains for Lebanon, our brotherly country; Noting that I have visited His Eminence the Sheikh today and His Excellency Walid Joumblatt yesterday who considered as one of the most prominent political leaderships in the decent Druze confession.
I also need to clarify that the Iranian Islamic Republic appreciated the historical and current role of this decent confession in promoting the interior equilibrium of Lebanon and making many gains for the good of the supreme Lebanese nation. At the end of my speech, I wish that God the Almighty could help His Eminence and all citizens of the Druze confession to have luck, success and peace, Praise to be Allah, as I wish that Lebanon could have more interior unity, political consent, and could make important and solid gains and achievements.”
