Beirut, on July 26, 2016

His Eminence Sheikh Akl of the Druze Unitarian Community the Sheikh Naim Hassan received a delegation of the Muslim scholars headed by Sheikh Hassan Abdulla in the presence of the Sheikhdom Consular Sheikh Ghassan Al- Halabi, where it was an occasion in which His Eminence Sheikh Hassan called upon upholding the solidarity of Muslims, converging perspectives and cooperating in order to eliminate all what is indicted to Islam of movements, extremism and terrorism.

After the meeting, Sheikh Abdulla claimed:

“We are honored to have met Sheikh Naim Hassan and it was an opportunity to discuss about the regional and local situations. We have also confirmed to His Eminence that the Islamic and national unity is the target Muslim scholars are working for… We have as well raised the subject of the expiatory groups which distort the Islamic religion and who have been declared by Muslims to be beyond the Islam …which calls for love and peace… We have also assured that these days we live are based on the victory of July’s war and the Golden Equivalence based on the army, the nation and the resistance for it to be a way to save the virtue and the Solidarity of Lebanon… As for the Palestinian case, we have confirmed that Palestine is for Arabs and Muslims and no one should give up on any inch of its land… We have as well emphasized on the interior unity and the corporation between us and other confessions… and have affirmed on the necessity of electing a President of the Republic rapidly in addition to the approval of a fair election law which leads to the integrity of political life in Lebanon…”
