His Eminence Sheikh Akl of the Druze Unitarian Community the Sheikh Naim Hassan received at the community house in Verdun - Beirut, the presidential candidate, member of the Democratic Gathering Deputy Henry Helou, in the presence of a member of the confessional council Sheikh Camille Sarieddine where they have discussed the overall developments, in which His Eminence stressed on the necessity of activating the democratic aspects in order to elect a president as soon as possible to ward off the dangers surrounding Lebanon.

After the meeting, the Deputy Helou announced:

“ His Eminence and I have discussed the overall developments especially  the subject of the vacancy in the presidency and the crises that we are experiencing in Lebanon as a result of this vacancy, as well as the cost we are paying today whether on the private sector or on the public one. In fact, we are facing today a lot of crises, scandals and corruption as well as paralyzing of the institutions, and the key holding the solution to all these issues is electing a president of the Republic. Finally, if we are talking about necessity in legislation, I think that all of these things are resolved by electing a president of the Republic.”
