His Eminence Sheikh Akl of the Druze Unitarian Community the Sheikh Naim Hassan has assured in a statement today that “the matter of life, people issues and citizens’ concerns that are still stuck under the burden of accumulated files that weigh down their lives economically and socially are considered as the most necessary matter in the work of the government. So, if the basic political issues were sadly related to the big conflicts of the region, it is better for political forces to be dismissed in order to handle all living issues.”

His Eminence stressed on “the large amount of corruption scandals that appeared recently” and hoped that “the investigations would punish all those responsible for this corruption to stop all threatens that may seriously disintegrate the real substrates of the country.”

Regarding the upcoming municipal elections, His Eminence stressed on "the need to approach these elections from everyone, democratically and under a Developmental and services title with a spirit of altruism and public interest, away from all family issues and differences,” hoping that “these elections would be done quietly in order to start new procedure in the constitutional requirements of the country's path.”
