His Eminence the Sheikh Akl of the Druze Unitarian Community the Sheikh Naim Hassan received at the House of the Community in Verdun – Beirut, a delegation from the Islamic Center for Media and guidance headed by Sheikh Dr. Mahmoud Lababidi accompanied by a Russian delegation headed by Deputy Prime Office supporting the Islamic Culture and Science in Russia Edward Khatchukaev.

The delegation handed the Sheikh Hassan an invitation to participate in the conference of “Religions and Media  ... In The Face of Terrorism”, in the presence of chancellor of Akl Sheikhdom the Sheikh Ghassan Halabi. At this occasion, they discussed all the general conditions and the challenges that face Lebanon and the region as well.

As his Eminence Sheikh stressed that “these outstanding problems cannot be resolved if we did not attempt to unite and cooperate for the dissemination of the language of moderation, dialogue, understanding, consolidation, elimination of extremism and fight against terrorism”, he called for “ a various international approach to all what is happening in the region that goes from the need to grant populations their right to determine their destiny,  in Palestine, Syria and others, because this is the fundament to immunize these people against terrorism”.
