As well as the efforts of PM Abu Al-Hosn and the blessing of the spiritual body to end the aftermath of the painful incident that passed nearly 5 years ago and claimed the life of the young Waseem Abu Farraj and to complete the family’s reconciliation.

The deputy of the Interior representative of El-Matn region in the Progressive Socialist Party, Issam Al-Masry also participated in the gathering, and the region’s commissioner in the party, Hassan Tarabay, the head of the communication committee in the confessional council, retired Major General Shawqi Al-Masry, the head of the legal committee Nashaat Hilal, and members of the council Sheikh Imad Faraj and Sheikh Hani Al-Ghazal, Dr. Shawqi Al-Danaf, and Dr. Nasr Daw. The meeting was initiated with a speech from Moufid Abu Farraj on behalf of the Reconciliation Committee, in which he thanked Sheikh Al-Aql, Mr. Walid Jumblatt, and MP Abu Al-Hosn for giving the subject the necessary importance, in addition to the efforts made by the commission in charge, and the cooperation of the family and the people of the town to reach the desired result after clearing the hearts and showing openness for forgiveness, brotherhood and love above any another feeling.
Abu al-Hosn: MP Abu al-Hosn gave a speech on behalf of the head of the Progressive Socialist Party, Mr. Walid Jumblatt, in which he saluted the "meeting of goodness, intimacy and love, convergence, tolerance and reunification, and the sincere will and intentions that produced our blessed gathering today."
He said, "The meeting would not have taken place without those intentions, principles and values from which Brother Samir Abu Farraj and his generous family set out, which sought to reach this moment, with the blessing of our distinguished Sheikhs, and under the generous sponsorship of His Eminence, Sheikh Aql of the Druze monotheistic faith (Tawhid), Sheikh Naeem Hasan, and the national leader Walid Jumblatt. Yes, brothers, this reconciliation would not have taken place if it were not for elevation and tolerance above the wounds caused by the tragic accident which came in a moment of abandonment, but our condolences are in the brave and advanced attitude of the family of our dear deceased Waseem Abu Farraj (may God bless his soul), this position that was distinguished by wisdom, prudence, courage and tolerance. Yes, tolerance, which is the adornment of virtues and gives strength and impetus to righteousness to achieve this inclusive scene and blessed reconciliation, in the hope that reconciliations will follow, starting from Choueifat to Qabrshmoun to Ruwaisat al-Ballout to Baalshmay and other villages and towns where it is necessary to heal wounds. However, the most important reconciliation remains reconciliation with oneself and with conscience, and this is what those responsible for managing the country and people’s affairs are supposed to do. May they work to achieve people’s interests and aspirations in this bad time in which self-interests and sectarian interests are rising above Lebanon's supreme interest and the interests of its people who suffer from oppression, poverty and humiliation."
He concluded by thanking Brother Samir Abu Farraj and his generous family for their stance and response to the benevolent endeavors and to everyone who took the initiative from the first moment, and worked to control matters and calm souls and for everyone who sought to bridge the rift between the sons of the same house, led by President Walid Jumblatt, and His Eminence Sheikh Aql of Al-Muwahhideen Sheikh Naeem Hasan. Not to forget thanking our honorable Sheikhs and the committee that did not hesitate to work, watch and follow up to achieve this reconciliation, and to the Undersecretary of the Progressive Party in Al Matn, brother Essam Al-Masry, and to the brothers in the delegation and in the Baalshmay branch of the party. Thanks to all of you for your participation and attendance, may God reward you all, hoping that we will always meet on the paths of goodness and in the fields of reconciliation, solidarity, unity and cooperation, in order to fortify and consolidate the unity of our society and the safety of our homeland. Blessed be this meeting and the reconciliation, and God is the Guardian of success.
Sheikh Al-Aql: Finally, Sheikh Al-Aql Sheikh Naeem Hasan gave a speech in which he said:
“In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Praise be to God, Lord of the Worlds, and prayers and peace be upon the best of the Messengers and the Seal of the Prophets, and upon his family and pure companions.
Ladies and Gentlemen,
The Almighty said: “And for those who are patient and forgiving, that is of the resolution of affairs” (Al-Shura 43). Today, we are in a dignified and dear town that is he home of righteous parents, so it is not strange for its people to tolerate, shake hands and rise above disagreement in ending disputes and resolving conflicts, and our call to always resort to traditions, customs and legal frameworks to deal with matters, and that falling into a major sin is unacceptable in our doctrine, society and country. I greet all of those present, expressing appreciation for the will of our people in Baalshmay, which made this dear meeting with you possible. No wonder! The nobles of the people are aware of the nobility of the choice of good, which does not improve its seekers except in honor, and does not detract from their right when they make it a blessed leaven for the peace of the society and its protection from all sources of anxiety and doubt.”
His Eminence added, "The monotheistic courage is acceptance of what the rational mind requires, as it is more worthy of human dignity than the desires of the soul to the contrary, and resorting to the wise choice is knowledge of the blessings of the heart and good intentions, and that is the nature of the distinguished piety of Bani Ma'ruf. The greatest honor is to elevate a person with his chivalry and his attraction towards doing virtue and integrity, which is the fruit of goodness, to what befits masculinity and its moral courage, which is in any case from God’s granting of man and His blessings, the Mighty and Sublime in his outward and inward affairs. You, through the good intentions that brought us together with the praise and thanks of God, are in the eyes of one who does not waste an atom’s weight of goodness, and how higher we shall rise above everything other than common values and the authenticity of men.”
Sheikh Al-Aql continued, "The spirit of reconciliation and solidarity that is perpetuated today is the spirit around which the Druze monotheists grew up since ancient times, and they grew with it in the presence of the known virtues and in preservation of the Druze society. It is the same spirituality that has been blessed by the spiritual references and consecrated by the political leadership of the sect through meetings of dialogue and collaboration. We bless yesterday’s meeting, and there is nothing higher than the value of transcendence, convergence, and collaboration. I wish those concerned in our country at the state and government level were inspired by this spirit to prevent the fatal collapse that is choking the people, and we wish that they proceed to form the government today before tomorrow, and to stop pushing people to explode. With you from here, we raise prayers and salutations to all those who seek to cooperate, reunite, and we stand by our people and society, through whose comprehensive approach and assistance, many reconciliations have been accomplished, without which they would not have reached their good conclusions, and we raise prayers so that God inspires those responsible to the right path before it is too late. Finally, we thank His Excellency the Representative, Mr. Hadi Abu Al-Hosn, for his restless effort in public issues, his follow-up and his keenness on this reconciliation and its organization, and thanks to the families of the deceased, whom we ask God to include in His mercy and acceptance. We ask God Almighty to bless this meeting and to reward, with His grace and generosity, all those who participated in it, for He is the All-Hearing and All-Responsive.
