After the visit, Minister Abdel Samad stated, "I met with his Eminence on a necessary visit in light of the current fragmentation at the political, economic, international and regional levels, which is starting to impact the people's livelihood, and we also discussed some matters, as we always seek to learn from his Eminence’s wisdom."
She added, "We talked about the issue of media and about some websites which may constitute harm if they are not organized in a legally proper manner, and we have put his Eminence in this picture and informed him about our constant follow-up to the media related matters, as these sites, even if they are not subject to the current law for regulation, then this does not mean it could ignore the media principles and ethics of the profession and at the same time establishing links with it. And what remains consistent is our keenness for our media to stay objective, correct and reliable, whether we are in the active government or the caretaker government. "
His Eminence also received a delegation of the Forum "United for Justice for Lebanon and Its People", led by the two former ambassadors, Dr. Hisham Hamdan and Khalil Al-Habr, where the delegation presented to his Eminence a copy of the letter addressed to the Secretary-General of the United Nations to demand justice for Lebanon and its people.
