His Eminence, Sheikh Al-Aql, Sheikh Naeem Hasan met with the Egyptian ambassador and head of the Coptic community
His Eminence Sheikh Aql of the Druze monotheistic faith (Tawhid), Sheikh Naeem Hasan received at the community house (Dar AL Tai’fa) in Beirut today, Dr. Yasser Alawi, Egypt's ambassador to Lebanon on a protocol visit, during which he presented with his Eminence issues and topics related to the Lebanese public affairs as well as issues related to the general situation in the region. In the meeting, Ambassador Alawi stressed "the immense importance that Egypt attaches to the current Lebanese situation, especially after the port explosion, as Egypt was among the first countries to provide humanitarian aid and to stand by this country against the repercussions of what the explosion left on all levels and the matter of its resurgence." For his part, his Eminence wished the Egyptian Ambassador the best during his new duties in Lebanon.
Sheikh Al-Aql also received the head of the Coptic Orthodox community in Lebanon and Syria, Father Taymoun Al-Suriani, and they discussed a number of spiritual issues and general topics. Father Al-Suruani conveyed to his Eminence "the greetings of His Holiness, Pope Tawadros II, and his wishes for lasting health and safety to the friendly country of Lebanon."
