His Eminence, Sheikh Al-Aql, Sheikh Naeem Hasan: What is every official in decision-making positions waiting for?

2020-08-05

His Eminence, Sheikh Aql of the Druze monotheistic faith (Tawhid), Sheikh Naeem Hasan, expressed in these pompous and sad moments that he was deeply affected by the tragedy that befell the homeland and directed with a heart of reverence the warmest condolences and the most sincere feelings of sympathy and empathy for the families of all victims, martyrs, wounded and missing, who are the faces of the heavy tragedy that hit our country which today appears as Catastrophic as the innocent victims.
In a statement, Sheikh Hasan stressed that all state agencies should do what is necessary to secure the minimum required to assist, shelter and relief the afflicted, stressing that national and humanitarian solidarity is the least that can be done over the horrors of wounds and destruction. His Eminence called on everyone who has a position of responsibility or is in charge of any formal position to do everything in his power to uncover the full circumstances of this human tragedy, to bring justice to everyone who has a relationship to the tragedy and to hold them accountable. He emphasized that the fate of homelands in extremely difficult tribulations depends on the level of performance of citizens and their good willpower, and of course, at the top of them is every official in any position.
Sheikh Hasan asked: What is every official in decision-making positions waiting for? It is not enough anymore to hide behind verbal phrases that do not replace or compensate for misfortunes and hunger. A terrible denial that blinds hearts to the truth is useless, not to mention what will aggravate the problems of the economy and intensify the distress of the citizens. The enormous dimensions of the consequences of this earthquake will manifest themselves in months or even years. It is of no use in the face of this great danger of galloping, and what we hope for is a serious sense of responsibility. This is what we are waiting for, no matter how pale the image of hope seems.
Beirut is bleeding, Beirut is the mother of law. We hope that it will take what it deserves from our brothers and friends.
We ask God Almighty to embrace our nation and its people with kindness, mercy and relief. He is the best of the Protectors and the best of the Victorious.
