His Eminence Sheikh Al-Aql met with the Ministers of Health and Information as well as the Saudi Ambassador and received greeting calls

His Eminence Sheikh Aql of the Druze monotheistic faith (Tawhid), Sheikh Naeem Hasan met today at Beirut's Dar Al Taifa (community house) with the Minister of Public Health Dr. Hamad Hasan, in the presence of his Eminence’s adviser Sheikh Ghassan Al-Halabi and Commissioner for Health Affairs of the Progressive Socialist Party Bassem Ghanem. Minister Hasan offered his congratulations on the occasion of the blessed Eid Al-Fitr, which also overlaps with the anniversary of the country’s liberation, and informed him of the current health situation and the measures taken by the Ministry of Public Health at all levels, especially regarding addressing concerns about potential evolution of the virus into its second stage.
During the meeting, Sheikh Al-Aql praised the "important health and guidance steps and proper care taken by the Ministry of Public Health, headed by Minister Hasan, regarding the real-time pace of the pandemic developments and the resulting aftermath, and the efforts made in this context to reduce their dangers and overcoming this difficult stage that the country is currently going through;which requires all concerned officials and concerted efforts to end this distress."
After the meeting, Minister Hasan stated, "We were honored today by visiting His Eminence SheikhNaeem Hasan to congratulate him on the glorious occasion of Eid Al-Fitr. We wished his Eminence more health and wellness with the wisdom that he enjoys and shares from it the stronghold of the Druze community, and at the same time the anniversary of Resistance and Liberation that all the Lebanese unanimously agreed upon as the bright spot in Lebanon’s modern history, which we hope Lebanon will remain shaded and crowned with such victories. We also praised the guidance and instructions of his Eminence regarding general mobilization and the commitment of the believers to the safe areas and social distancing, while adhering to wearing breathing masks to limit the transmission of the virus.We consider that all officials, whether civil, spiritual or political, would play an exceptional role during this stage in which we face one of the most dangerous pandemics that swept the world, and politicians and spiritual references remain a great credit in establishing a unified Lebanese formula to protect Lebanon from all evil."
In response to a question about whether the measures taken will be alleviated, Minister Hasan said, "The government plan is clear and with reducing some of the general mobilization limitations and moving systematically and realistically to normal life, and we hope that all citizens adhere to the guidelines so that the measures will be gradually dismantled to avoid falling into second wave, or recording a number of injuries that would exceed the capacity of the Lebanese Ministry of Health to treat. From this standpoint, community awareness comes without the need to show ego towards some of the strengths that have been recorded against this pandemic such that we don’t get overpowered by the stroke of a pen. Adherence to all the instructions of the government should be followed, and as for the extension or opening the country, then it is a matter which would be decided by the government collectively, based on reports issued by the Ministry of Public Health in this regard."
Abdel-Samad: Then, his Eminence met with the Minister of Media Manal Abdel-Samad, who extended her congratulations to him on the occasion of Eid Al-Fitr. The meeting included a review of the general conditions and government measures on many of the current issues, especially the economic-social and health aspects.
It was an occasion in which his Eminency congratulated the Minister of Information for her position, wishing her "success in her tasks and goals that she intends to take for Lebanese media to remain a pioneering beacon that reflects the culture, philosophy and morals of our unitary society, in light of the technological and scientific revolution and the multiplicity of means of communication that must take into account the unity of the word and preserve traditions. "
After the meeting, Minister Abdul Samad said, "Today we visited his Eminence Sheikh Aql of the Druze monotheistic faith (Tawhid), Sheikh Naeem Hasan;our visit is necessary not only on the occasion of Eid but at any time, so that we can be inspired by the wisdom of his Eminence and his rational stances in order to enhance love and solidarity to serve one country, and such that our message would become for Lebanon as one country and one people, in the hope that the conditions of our country would improve for everyone."
Al-Bukhari: At noon time, his Eminence received the Saudi ambassador to Lebanon, his Excellency Walid Al-Bukhari, on the occasion of Al-Fitr, in the presence of the Druze doctrine judge, Sheikh Gandhi Makarem, and his Eminence’s adviser, Sheikh Ghassan Al-Halabi. During the meeting, they discussed a number of topics of common concern and bilateral relations between the two countries.
In this context, Sheikh Al-Aql praised the "Lebanese-Saudi historical relationship, which was and remains a point of appreciation for the Lebanese people regarding the generous and benevolent stances that the Kingdom stood beside our homeland at all levels and on several occasions, through which the kingdom demonstrated great care for our country, stability, security and prosperity."
After the visit, Ambassador Al-Bukhari briefly stated, "The visit is to congratulate his Eminence on the occasion of Eid Al-Fitr, which is considered a loving visitof great affection for his Eminence."
