His Eminence, Sheikh Al-Aql Sheikh Naeem Hasan: to ensure the safety of society from "Corona"

2020-05-11

His Eminence Sheikh Al-Aql of the Druze monotheistic faith (Tawhid), Sheikh Naeem Hasan issued the following statement:
Praise be to God, first and foremost, for His excess of grace, and His great wisdom, so that prudence was made by Him as the basis for faith and work. Thank God in every case, He is the Almighty, the Wise, and the Knowledgeable.
The duty of responsibility requires, according to the principles of trust, to urge commitment to the duties imposed by the public interest, and to the requirements of ethics, preservation, and sound care for the community surrounding us, as it relates to the discharge of responsibility, the link of righteousness, and the purpose of good.
With the return of the corona infections at the local level, and increasing global health warnings and fears of a second wave of the disease which would be more prevalent and dangerous, and in light of the unfortunate ignorance that began to increase among people without realizing the resulting risks, we reiterate the call to all our people, our brothers and our citizens, with full and complete commitment to all grades of respect for the duties of prevention and avoidance; exposure and socializingwould not be justifiable in the current circumstances. Good trust is linked to the realization of a sound mind enlightened by the rules of faith.
As it is well known from our noble heritage, the core of one’s faith is rooted in the meanings of prevention and safety, the mitigation of any harm, and extreme care such that one does not become a means of transmission of infection to his brother, family and loved ones, but rather to exert all efforts in protecting them from everything that could exposes them to the dangers of the pandemic.
Therefore
Please adhere to the virtue of patience, reflection and narration, and the priority in this periodwould be to protect everyone based on the duties assigned to every official, in his home, in his town, in his community in general and in his homeland. This means becoming aware of the dangers of infection in crowded public occasions, including coercions, joys, etc.
What motivates us to be alert is our great concern for the safety of our society and our homeland, which stems from our unwavering faith, and from our firm trust in God Almighty, “praise be to God in the beginning and at the end, and He has judgment and to Him you shall return (Al-Qosas 70)”.
