His Eminence, Sheikh Al-Aql, Sheikh Naeem Hasan met a delegation of the leadership of the National Party and other personalities

His Eminence Sheikh Aql of the Druze monotheistic faith (Tawhid), Sheikh Naeem Hasan met today at the Comunity House in Beirut, a delegation from the leadership of the Syrian National Social Party headed by Vice-President Wael Al-Hassania, and included Mayor Nazih Rouhana, Zuhair Fayyad, and Nabil Abu Nakad. The delegation briefed by Sheikh Al-Aql of the conditions around exiting the government, and reviewed general topics and issues.
After the meeting, Al-Hassania said, "We were honored to visit his Eminence Sheikh Aql of the Druze monotheistic faith (Tawhid), where we put his Eminence in the picture of our position against the existing government formation and our refusal of anyone’s attempt to monopolize some of the political positions, whether in the ministries, religions, or sects. No matter Islamic or Christian, these should not be monopolized because the sects bring together the vast nation including all political views, and monopoly is a rejected state from any political party whatsoever. We also discussed the current status and popular demands, and people's right to a free and generous living. We shared views regarding the right to peaceful expression of the current public movement and to avoid extremism, the blocking of public roads, and any offense to other citizens. His Eminence expressed his opinion on the right of the citizens to express their opinions peacefully regarding the living and social issues raised. We also discussed the situation in the region, especially what is being performed by the Zionist enemy on our land and the American project that is pushing towards tensions in the region, in addition to diverting attention from the present economic and security related situation."
In response to a question about the position of the National Party regarding granting trust to the government, he said, "After our decision to leave the government as a result of what we called an attempt by some politic parties to monopolize and impose a certain reality, we will leave the question of granting trust to the government until after the ministerial statement. Our leadership shall then meet to take the appropriate decision in this regard."
His Eminence also received a delegation from the city of Choueifat, consisting of the interior representative of the Choueifat-Khaldeh office in the Progressive Socialist Party, Marwan Abi Faraj, and Mr. Ghassan Saab. The meeting took place in the presence of members of the sectarian council Sheikh Hussam Naim, and Messrs., Issam Haidar, Ayoub Al-Jurdi, and Firas Zaidan; the reality of the city and the need to develop projects that serve the people of the region were discussed.
His Eminence then welcomed the financial controller of the South Council, Mr. Yasser Zebian, and the head of the Doctors Center in Beirut, Dr. Kamal Sleem, where general issues were discussed.
His Eminence also received businessman Akram Al-Zuhairi, and held a meeting with the Secretary of the Doctrinal Council Mr. Nizar Al-Baradi, and topics related to the work of the Council were discussed.
