His Eminence, Sheikh Aql of the Druze monotheistic faith (Tawhid), Sheikh Naeem Hasan, announced his “condemnation of all behaviors that could lead to sedition or cause an offense to any religious figures of the various sects in Lebanon.”
The announcement of Sheikh Al-Aql came after a visit he made to his Excellency the speaker of Parliament, President Nabih Berri in Ain El-Tineh, in which his Eminence was accompanied by the Druze doctrine judge Sheikh Gandhi Makarem, and during which the general national situation was reviewed from its various aspects. His Eminence said after the meeting, "Our visit to his Excellency the president whom we appreciate and respect, was for discussing private and public issues. In the public affairs, the current situation in Lebanon is dangerous and has not occurred since independence, which demands sacrifice from officials, as well as serious consideration of the demands of the people and speeding up the formation of the government. We condemn any actions that lead, God forbid, to sedition or offense against any religious figures of any of the different sects in Lebanon. "
His Eminence concluded, "We are begging the Almighty to protect this country and preserve its people through peace and security."
