The prayer was preceded by a speech for his Eminence who said, "Our loss today is for one who is considered a martyr of the nation and we hope that the incident will become a lesson to the beginning and the end of violence, we pray for safety of our country, and for wisdom to the people in responsibility, which is responsibility of the national good of the independent state and the just rule."
"On this occasion, which became like a national wedding, and with our religious, spiritual and patriotic responsibility, we strictly prohibit shooting on citizens."
In conclusion, we ask from God Almighty to bless the deceased with his mercy and generosity.
Then his Eminence started praying on the body.
On the other hand, his Eminence received condolences to the martyr Alaa Abu Fakhr from several figures, most notably from the Grand Mufti of Lebanon Sheikh Abdul Latif Darian and Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Islamic Shiite Council Sheikh Ali Al-Khatib.
