His Eminence Sheikh Aql of the Druze monotheistic faith (Tawhid), Sheikh Naeem Hasan received at Dar Al-Taifa in Beirut the Egyptian Ambassador to Lebanon Nazih Al-Najari on a farewell visit, in the presence of his Eminence’s Advisor, Sheikh Ghassan Al-Halabi. During the meeting, his Eminence presented to the Ambassador Dar Al-Taifa token of appreciation for his efforts in serving the Lebanese Egyptian relationships as well as his efforts in promoting an active role for Egypt in unifying the Lebanese and supporting Lebanon.
After the meeting, Al-Najari said: "I had the honor to meet with his Eminence Sheikh Naeem Hasan. This house we consider to be our home and the relationships between Egypt and the Druze monotheistic faith (Tawhid) is a rooted one, where the call has originated. We are proud of the relationship with both religious and political leadership of this gracious religious sect with whom we continue to cooperate and to offer all that Egypt can offer for the stability of Lebanon and for everything that would achieve political consensus in Lebanon. I thank his Eminence for the support he showed me during my time in Lebanon and I wish him and the community the best of luck in the next phase; God’s will."
Afterwards, his Eminence chaired the General Assembly meeting of the sectarian council, during which the affairs of the council, its committees and the conditions of the sect and the nation were discussed.
His Eminence also chaired a joint meeting of the board of directors of the sectarian council with the board of trustees of Al-Doha magazine, during which was a discussion on ways to develop and expand it as well as preserve the cultural value it represents.
Then, his Eminence received a delegation from the Social Work Association, where he highly appreciated the role they play. Ways to activate its work and empower the necessary capabilities to reach that purpose were discussed.
