Throughout the meeting, Abdel-Hadi "highlighted for his Eminence the current situation of daily violations that the Palestinian people are subjected to by the Israeli enemy at their home, and the disrespect for Al-Aqsa Mosque and the Palestinian resistance to this occupation."
He said, "we have affirmed to his Eminence the keenness of the permanent relationship with this edifice and what it represents and the continuity of relations with it, and we extended our thanks to him for always supporting our cause, the Palestinian people and the rights of refugees, and of course his Eminence welcomed this delegation representing HAMAS. His Eminence affirmed his support to our position and our effort for demanding our rights to live in dignity, and that acquiring our rights does not in any way imply resettlement, because Palestinians accept no country but their homeland. His Eminence wished us to return soon and pray together at the Al-Aqsa Mosque".
"We have made it clear that the Palestinian people were surprised by the timing of the Ministry of Labor's actions, which coincided with the deal of the century timing, and within Lebanon, under enormous American pressure to impose resettlement and opposition to our right to return. We question how measures could be applied to a refugee who is not a foreigner with an exceptional situation that imposes his exception from issuing a work permit", he added. "In this context, we and all Palestinians have one opinion, and we are seeking with our friends in Lebanon to amend Law 129 and abolish the work permit having the refugee card issued by the Ministry of Interior as sufficient, because the presence of Palestinians for 73 years makes them no foreigners, furthermore where could they go when their country is occupied by the Zionist regime".
His Eminence received a delegation from the “Al Jabal Sons” gathering, headed by retired Major General Shawqi Al-Masri, who pointed out that the delegation "presented for his Eminence the conditions of the gathering and the importance of strengthening brotherly relations between the various spiritual families in Al-Jabal, as well as the activities of the gathering to empower the image of love and coexistence in this region, which forms the beating heart of Lebanon". The delegation expressed its thanks for his Eminence initiative in supporting the gathering in strengthening the foundations of coexistence for the good of the whole country.
His Eminence also received Mr. Saqr Al-Beaini who gifted him a book about Sheikh Abu Yousef Hussein Al-Beaini.
