His Eminence Sheikh Naeem Hasan met with the Iranian Ambassador and MP Abu Al-Hassan: "To unify the vision towards the dangers, the first of which is the Israeli danger"


His Eminence Sheikh Aql of the Druze monotheistic faith (Tawhid), Sheikh Naeem Hasan received at the Dar Al-Taifa in Beirut today, Iranian Ambassador to Lebanon Mohammad Jalal Firouznia, accompanied by political advisor to the embassy Hameed Thani. The meeting included a review of various current developments. His Eminence stressed the necessity of adhering to the language of openness and adhering to dialogue at the level of Islamic-Islamic relations, in a framework of adherence the unity, sovereignty and stability of the countries of the region and the right of its people to freedom of speech and democracy, and to achieve better stability in the Arab and Islamic world, in a context which aims at unifying the vision towards current dangers that threaten our region, the first of which is the permanent Israeli threat and its continuous aggressions against Lebanon, as well as the Palestinian cause, leading to an independent Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital".
His Eminence "called onIran with its influential role, to create opportunities for convergence and to introduce initiatives aimed at defusing tensions in our region", wishing "the success of the French mediation in easing international tensions".
His Eminence received member of the Democratic Gathering MP Hadi AboulHosn, and amix of general subjectswere discussed, as well as affairs related to the Druze sect and the nation.
Following the meeting, AboulHosn stated, "We were honored today to visit his Eminence the Sheikh of the Druze monotheistic faith (Tawhid), and it was an occasion to thank his Eminence for his bold and progressive national positions and to praise the spiritualChristian-Muslim summit held at the Druze Community House. The meeting presented an opportunity for us to discuss withhis Eminence, general national and internal issues, especially the economic and social issues, and the economic dialogue called for by the President of the Republic to Baabda on Monday. We also touched upon the rapid military developments that threatens to put Lebanon vulnerable to Israeli aggression, and in this context, we stressed during the meeting on the importance of dialogue and understanding among all Lebanese components in order to form one national position to be unified, to face the risks, whether at the economic level and its concerns, as well asat the level of regional challenges and risks of the Israeli aggression".
A delegation from the Al-Jurdi family in Aleywere amongst the visitors and displayed with his Eminence family-related issues. His Eminence also received Mr. Elie Daniel, Mr. Hisham Ajeeb, the Chairperson of the Social Committee in the sectarian council Ms. Ghada Jumblatt, and member of the sectarian council Mr. Ziad Khattar.
