His Eminence Sheikh Aql of the Druze monotheistic faith (Tawhid), Sheikh Naeem Hasan received at the Community House in Verdun today, former MP Farid Al-Khazen, who informed his Eminence about the preparation for a conference on Lebanon, taking place in Rome – based on the Pope’s message “Lebanon is more than a country, it’s a message”.
His Eminence had welcomed earlier a delegation from the National Board of Organ Donation, which is part of the Ministry of Health under the chairmanship of the Vice-President of the Commission, Professor Antoine Estefan, in the presence of adviser of his Eminence, Sheikh Ghassan Al-Halabi. The delegation informed his Eminence about the framework of the Commission's plan of action and its recommendations to the religious authorities regarding promoting the organs and tissues donation culture, which will be launched on the occasion of the Lebanese Independence Day in this regard in October.
Among the visitors to the Community House were the president of the Chouf Cedar Preservation Committee lawyer Charles Njeim, Mr. Saleh Sayyur and his spouse – former member of the religious council Mrs. Dana Shdid, as well as the Chief Editor of Al-Dhoha magazine, Dr. Mohammed Shayya.
