His Eminence Sheikh Naeem Hasan received an official Palestinian delegation led by member of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) and Central Committee of the Fatah movement - Azzam al-Ahmad


His Eminence Sheikh Aql of the Druze monotheistic faith (Tawhid), Sheikh Naeem Hasan, at the Community House in Verdun - Beirut, welcomed an official Palestinian delegation headed by member of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) and Central Committee of the Fatah movement - Azzam Al-Ahmad, accompanied by ambassador of the State of Palestine in Lebanon Ashraf Dabour and secretary of the PLO branches in Lebanon Fat-hi Abu Al-Ardat, as part of the delegation's tour to the Lebanese religious and official authorities to discuss the political developments and stress on the common Lebanese Palestinian position of rejecting the “century deal”, and on adherence to the right of return of the Palestinian refugees.
His Eminence confirmed the position that “Palestine the cause, the people and the state will not submitto all the deals and conspiracies, no matter how much its conveyors try, because the will of its people willnever be defeated, and it is a right and just cause, and right would never fade”.His Eminence hoped that “the Palestinian position to be reconciledoer allthe proposed visions and issues, and to reunite against these fierce challenges, and to resist the Israeli occupation, and to repel its aggression at the military, political and financial levels”, calling on all Arab and Islamic countries to “A position of conscience and call for right and joint action to reject the century deal and any of its activities”, expressing absolute adherence to “rejecting resettlement and supporting the right of return of the refugees,and the establishment of an independent Palestinian State with Jerusalem as its capital”. His Eminence then restressed on the importance of “The Arab and Islamic identity, the common history and the mutual struggle between the Druze monotheists in occupied Palestine and their brothers of the Palestinian people, who are united by land and blood, as well as religion, language and history”.
After the meeting, Al-Ahmad said, "We are honored to visit Sheikh Aqlof the Druze monotheistic faith (Tawhid), Sheikh Naeem Hasan, founding this visit on the basis of what connects us historically with this community which is wide spread across Palestine, which played and still plays a huge patriotic role supporting the resistance of the Palestinian people both in Palestine and here in Lebanon, such that they have played a major part in defending the Palestinian cause fostering their revolution. He continued that he told Sheikh Hasan that “a few days ago we were in Ramallah in a meeting with the Sheikhs of the Druze monotheisticfaith (Tawhid) and other Druze monotheists from occupied Syrian Arab Golan heights, who stood united to counter the decision of (US President Donald Trump), as well as Israel’s decision to combine the Golan heightsto Israeli sovereignty”.
Al-Ahmad stressed that “His Eminence was keen on seeking reassuranceon Jerusalem and wishing to visit it as a liberated capital of the independent Palestinian state; we confirmed the resistance of our people andconfirmed their ingoing struggle in confronting the occupation. His Eminence expressed his appreciation for this resistance and therestless struggle, as well as his keenness, like all the Druze community, to confront all those who aspire to the Arab and Palestinian land”.
Al-Ahmad concluded by pointing out that his Eminence Sheikh Naeem Hasan assured the delegation of stability and peace in mount Lebanon and the whole country, and stressed that “We are determined to preserve this relationshipand we will remainto be the link between allDruze monotheists in Palestine, Lebanon, Syria and Jordan”.
