"To Vote Heavily In The Competence In Adherence To The Charter":
His Eminence Sheikh Akl Sheikh Naim Hassan and a Large Delegation of Sheikhs In Mukhtarah

2018-05-05

The leader of the Democratic Gathering, MP Walid Jumblatt, met at the Mukhtarah Palace today afternoon with His Eminence Sheikh Akl of the Druze Unitarian Community Sheikh Naim Hassan, at the head of a large delegation of the sheikhs of the sect, including Druze judges and heads of committees and members of the religious council, and Head of Irfan Establishment, Sheikh Ali Zeineddine; in addition to Institutions administration and sheikhs.
During the meeting, Sheikh Akl said that "Our history is chosen, and the history of the ma'arufiyeen is the history of the original Lebanon. It is the history of the great men who rose above all sects and called to live together and human values."
He added that "We sense your existence Mr. Walid, and in God’s willing, with Mr. Taymour we will continue to sense the meaning of patriotism in which Lebanon is our country as a free, dear and sovereign, and we know that in difficult times you were the voice of dialogue and man of dialogue and reason for the nation and its people and its stability. We are sorry to hear the rhetoric of spasm and refuse to besiege the Mukhtara and tell those speeches owners to return to their senses. Lebanon is based only on the constants, the principles of unity, partnership, reconciliation and coalition. And with His Beatitude, the Patriarch, with love and partnership, return to politics in the noble sense, that is, to exert efforts to serve the people and their causes, and to tell our people in this gloomy mountain, to participate heavily in this merit because we see that this issue is not only about the election of the representatives of the nation but about adherence to the Charter and the coalition of good will towards the future of Lebanon, asking God Almighty to protect you and to keep these summits dignified and cherished under the banners of freedom and dignity”.
