     His Eminence, Sheikh Al Aql, received, at the Druze Community House in Verdun, the Leader of the Union Party (Reformist Movement) Hassan Shalha who was accompanied by members of the Political Bureau and the Central Committee. After the meeting, Shalha announced his support for the national role of unity played by Sheikh Naim Hassan, and the importance of supporting this moderate approach by all political forces throughout the difficult stage Lebanon is going through.
   
He added, “We expressed for His Eminence our fear of the political developments and the sectarian tensions and lineups accompanying the elections, suggesting the meeting of the spiritual leaders in a summit hopefully wishing it could alleviate the atmosphere of the current tension threatening the stability of Lebanon.
