His Eminence Sheikh Al-Aql Sheikh Naeem Hasan met Al-Aridi, Mer’i and a delegation from the Beirut Endowment Committee

His Eminence, Sheikh Aql of the Druze monotheistic faith (Tawhid), Sheikh Naeem Hasan, received in the community house - Beirut today, the former minister and deputy, Ghazi Al-Aridi, and they discussed a number of issues and general topics, as well as topics related to the affairs and concerns of the community.
After the meeting, Al-Aridi said, “Our permanent duty is to visit this honorable house and stand on the opinion of His Eminence, take his blessing, discuss general political and national issues and developments in light of the crises we are experiencing, and stand up to the concerns of the Druze community. The is based on the constant desire for unity of word, opinion and the principle of diversity within Unity, as no one can cancel anyone, nor can one transcend the other in terms of freedom of action and political expression. This is a legitimate right for all people, and of course a main point in this blessed morning session with His Eminence the Sheikh was about the meeting last Saturday in Khaldeh and the results that came out of it. It is our duty to put His Eminence in the picture of the deliberations that took place and the discussions that went on, as well as the conclusions we reached, which, praise be to God, are positive and built upon, provided that a workshop is launched. This is what we have started to address what we agreed on in terms of the main points contained in the body of the statement.
Al-Aridi added, "We will not go into details in the media, but to reassure many of our people, whether near or far, a little diligence in case they write, analyze, or state. The issue does not tolerate interpretations or anticipations. The torrent of writings sometimes takes us more than we actually know about what happened during the session. Regardless of the wishes of the session, though it is their right, however there is no need to bother as the issue is clear and specific, and it has its good and rational management to translate the collective will that we agreed upon, so that no one interprets any words or tries to take matters other than what they are in their public, internal and institutional political essence. We are going to implement what we have agreed upon in the interest of this honorable community and its people, based on the fact that what we have done and are doing our national duty and working to establish general stability in the country. We are part of this national fabric and we want to see stability, peace and security and to witness a return of active public institutions. Walid Beik has therefore been at the forefront since the beginning of the road by calling for sacrifices and concessions and holding agreements that would produce a government that would be the gateway to addressing our national issues and our common concerns, not any other concerns. The time has come in the face of this injustice, oppression, torment, and the great catastrophe and the collapse that everyone is talking about, for us to address these concerns with a common interest as Lebanese citizens.
Sheikh Hasan also received the representative of Hi Eminence’s office in the United States of America, and also received Sheikh Sami Mer’i, and discussed with him issues related to the Druze community in America and general topics.
His Eminence also received a delegation from the Beirut citizens’ Endowment Committee, which included its chairperson, Mr. Ali Al-Oud, member of the confessional council, Sheikh Sami Abdel-Khaleq, and Professor Munib Nasser Al-Din, in the presence of the Secretary of the Doctrinal Council, Mr. Nizar Al-Barada'i, and the Chairman of the Endowments Committee in the Council, Mr. Hamadeh Hamadeh, and a number of issues related to the Committee were discussed.
