His Eminence Sheikh Aql of the Druze monotheistic faith (Tawhid), Sheikh Naeem Hasan received at the community house - Verdun today, the new Turkish ambassador to Lebanon, Ali Baresh Ulusoy, on a protocol visit, accompanied by the first counselor at the embassy, Yater Yamen Nakoudi.
It was an occasion during which the Turkish ambassador congratulated His Eminence on the onset of the blessed Eid al-Fitr, and reviewed the general conditions in Lebanon and the region, especially the current developments in Palestine. Ulusoy also explained the role that Turkey is playing in the region and the collaborative relations with Lebanon.
Sheikh Al-Aql wished the Turkish ambassador success in his new duties, and expressed his appreciation for every cooperation aimed at securing stability in the Islamic world and the Arab region at all levels.
Sheikh Hasan also renewed his condemnation and denouncing of the violent and prolonged Israeli occupation practices in violating the Al-Aqsa Mosque and the unacceptable violations against worshipers and Jerusalemites, and affirmed standing by the Palestinian people who are making massive sacrifices in their lives to preserve their legitimate rights.
In addition, His Eminence received a delegation from the "International Tribunal for Settlement of Disputes", which included advisers, Dr. Nabil Bou Ghantous, Dr. Shadi Antonios and Jamil Fares. The delegation presented to His Eminence general issues related to its activities.
