It is harmful at the national level for people to indulge in confusion as a result of raging feelings of provocation and counter-provocation at this stage in which our country has become hostage of extremely dangerous conditions on all sides.
We would like to point out that these issues that arise every now and then are not specifically related, at this time and in this particular circumstance, to the matter of freedom of opinion and freedom of expression, but rather to the implications that it would provoke– and which it has already provoked - as a result of the lack of life manners of some people, whether it came by choice from a responsible figureor from someone who aims to manipulate the values of societies.
What is required is that we panic, but not for what fate conceals, but to panic against the dangers of slipping into dissonance, disagreements and emotional stirred suspicions in a time when we need the most solidarity, harmony and unity of efforts to hold our country’s hand and steer itfrom chaos into safety.
What is required is that we build on our national unity, and on the good emotions that the Lebanese people from all over the world show throughgenerosity and giving for the sake of strengthening the institutions that would serve and protect our people amidst the storms of adversity.
We have repeatedly warned against attacking religious shrines, heavenly messages and the honorable prophets of God.
God curse those who provoke sedition and who never deter from their reckless opinions.
What is required is to nourish the human foundation in us, which is morality, because in its loss we would never be able to regain our solidarity around our dear country, and God is our first blessing and best support.
