His Eminence SheikhAql of the Druze monotheisticfaith (Tawhid), Sheikh Naeem Hasan met with the Ambassador of Norway and a delegation from the spiritual gathering calling for providing support to avoid further fire losses

His Eminence Sheikh Aql of the Druze monotheistic faith (Tawhid), Sheikh Naeem Hasan met at Dar Al Taifa - Verdun today, Norway's Ambassador to Lebanon LeniStenseth, in the presence of his Eminence’s advisor Sheikh Ghassan Al-Halabi.
Stenseth presented with his Eminence, generic affairs related to Lebanon and the region, especially at the humanitarian levels, particularly projects and programs supported and financed by Norway in Lebanon, like empowering the role of women in society, combating torture in prisons, as well as providing assistance to displaced persons, refugees and host communities.
His Eminence welcomed the ambassador, praising her country's "interest in issues related to humanitarian issues and the projects intended to be established in Lebanon in this regard."
His Eminence also met with a delegation from the "Spiritual Gathering" in Lebanon representing the Christian and Muslim communities, who presented to his Eminence a number of proposals and national programs that the gathering is preparing to launch.
His Eminence also met with Mr. Salim and Mr.RamziTakieddine, accompanied by retired Lieutenant Colonel WajdiGhanem.
On the other hand, Sheikh al-Aql expressed his "great discomfort caused by the fires that are taking place in a number of Lebanese areas, especially in the mountains, where the fire has affected large areas and forced a number of residents to evacuate their homes resulting in the loss of life and property. At the forefront is the young courageous youth of the area, Salim BouMujahid, who gave his blood as a sacrifice to the nation. We offer his family and parents our warmest condolences and wishing them patience and solace."
His Eminence praised the efforts exerted by the officials to combat the fire, especially the staff of the Lebanese Civil Defense, the Lebanese army and security forces, and called on all officials and citizens to join forces and provide support to avoid further losses.
