His Eminence Sheikh-Aql of the Druze monotheistic faith (Tawhid), Sheikh Naeem Hassan met at the Community House in Beirut today, a delegation from the Apostolic Church in Belarus, headed by the Archbishop of the church, father Alexander Nikolai. The delegation also included head of foreign students’ association at the university of Polytechnic Ala Danilavna, accompanied by the head of the Belarus Alumni Association in Lebanon Marwan Zuhairi and member of the administrative board Michel Haddad, in the presence of his Eminence’s adviser Sheikh Ghassan Al-Halabi.
The delegation conveyed to His Eminence the greetings and appreciation of the Orthodox Church in Belarus, recognizing all the voices calling for moderation, love and humanity. The delegation then discussed the situation of the Lebanese religious sects, including the one related to the Druze monotheistic faith (Tawhid).
His Eminence also received the President of the Druze Society in France, Nariman Barakat, and the President of the French LEBA Association Elie Awwad, who presented with his Eminence the activities of their associations, which aims at promoting the values of coexistence and spreading the Lebanon’s culture and heritage, in the presence of Sheikh Wissam Abou Dergham.
His Eminence also met with the Chairman of the Chouf Cedar natural preserve, lawyer Charles Njaim.
