His Eminence Sheikh Aql of the Druze monotheistic faith (Tawhid), Sheikh Naeem Hassan received at the community house in Beirut a member of the "Strong Lebanon" movement MP Mario Aoun, accompanied by lawyer Ramzi Dassoum. A number of issues and general subjects were presented.
After the meeting, MP Aoun said, "We have completed our tour with His Beatitude Cardinal Bishara al-Ra'i related to the cultivation of cannabis for pharmaceutical and purely medicinal purposes. Today we spoke with His Eminence Sheikh Naeem Hassan to take his opinion on this subject, which is of importance to us since this subject requires a spiritual cover and not only a temporal one, and we are waiting for his answer soon on this subject."
He added, "We took the opportunity to talk with his Eminence in other subjects, especially the current situation in Lebanon, where we benefited from his bright ideas, in addition to the atmosphere in the mountain region, particularly the value of coexistence living, and his Eminence’s views were very similar to ours on the current situation and what could be improved in the future, as we also agreed on the overall topics that were raised in the meeting."
His Eminence also received a delegation from the “Mount Marathon” association headed by Bahaa Al-Zaghayyar to inform him about its sports activities, including the marathon, which will be held on May 5 starting from the town of Bater in El Chouf area to the town of Jezzine under the slogan "Our unity protects our environment". His Eminence stressed on the importance of sports activities in collaboration with young people and adolescents in order to nourish their souls with the values of sports ethics, and to protect their physical health by redirecting them away from various dangerous problems.
