His Eminence Sheikh Aql of the Druze monotheistic faith (Tawhid), Sheikh Naeem Hassan met at the House of the Druze sect in Beirut, the Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman, supervisor of King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Action, Dr. Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz, accompanied by Saudi Ambassador to Lebanon Walid Al-Bukhari and accompanying delegation, in the presence of Druze religious judge Sheikh Ghandi Makarem, and the adviser of his Eminence Sheikh Ghassan al-Halabi. During the meeting, the general situation in Lebanon and the region were reviewed, as well as the bilateral relations between the two countries.
During the meeting, Dr. Abdullah presented to His Eminence an appreciation award on behalf of the King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Action. "I had the honor today to meet with His Eminence Sheikh Naeem Hassan, Sheikh of the Druze monotheistic faith (Tawhid), I am happy to be in Lebanon performing visits to all the Lebanese communities to confirm the keenness of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on all sects in Lebanon. The instructions of his highness King Salman bin Abdul Aziz, may God protect him, were to visit Lebanon and represent a set of relief and humanitarian programs for Syrian refugees, as well as supporting the needy Lebanese from all communities and religions. This strong relationship between our two countries confirms the desire of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Lebanese Republic to build bridges of cooperation, and we all are anxious to witness a strong and proud Lebanon as we know it in all its men and women and religious sects.
In response to a question about the purpose of the visit, he said, "It demonstrates a clear message that Saudi Arabia accepts all sects and groups in Lebanon and everywhere. Saudi Arabia is a country of tolerance, goodness and generosity, this is the message of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and under the explicit instructions of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman as well as the message of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabian government and its people.
"Saudi Arabia, with its leadership and people, is open to all the region without exception," he concluded.
