His Eminence, Sheikh Aql Mouwahidoun Druze, Sheikh Naim HASSAN, roamed with a group of the Druze Sheikhs and heads and members of the Druze Confessional Council in Al Shouf district and had significant stops particularly at the house of the Druze Religious Body Leader Sheikh Abou Mohamad Jawad Walieddine in Baakline and at the sanctuary of Prophet Ayoub in Niha Al Shouf where he examined the constructional works carried out at the sanctuary.
His Eminence also visited Niha town where he was received by a group of Sheikhs and town residents at the “majales” and religious cells. In his announcement regarding the memorial of April 13, he said, “It is a harmful memory for all the Lebanese, we do call all the political leaderships and officials to elevate from being engaged in violent speeches and minor conflicts – that do not participate in the construction of our homeland –   and to settle all the issues for the sake of the higher national interest.”
He added, “All the painful memories of war should be broken with the past and a new page of confidence and looking forward should be opened paving the way for the coming generations to live honorably under the banner of a state capable of protecting its citizens and dispersing their suspicions  and fears.”
He said, “The Taif Agreement has put an end to that dark period of the Lebanese History and emphasized Lebanon’s definite Arab identity; it settled the political participation mode among its various components - emphasizing the significance of this conventional agreement with its great positive influences at the national level.”
He summed up, “We are looking forward where the Lebanese people have confidence in their future, security, stability and dignified living, especially that the accumulated social and economical problems have become seriously threatening; therefore, effective solutions should be sought promptly to elevate misery and deprivation from the Lebanese people of different attitudes and sections.”
