His Eminence Sheikh Akel of the Druze Unitarian Community Sheikh Naim Hassan received, at the Community House in Beirut, the General Secretary of King Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz World Center for Dialogue between followers of religions and cultures Mr. Faisal Bin Muammar at the head of a delegation from the center, accompanied by the General Secretary of “the Committee for Islamic-Christian Dialogue in Lebanon” Mr. Mohammad Sammak, Dr. Mohammad Abou Nemer, Wassim Haddad, Cosette Moiki and Mustafa Riyalat, in the presence of the Cultural Committee Chairman of the Shiite Sectarian Council Sheikh Sami Abi El Mona, the Judge of Druze Confessional Council Sheikh Ghandi Makarem and the consultant Sheikh Ghassan Halabi. The delegation delivered an invitation for the participation in a conference organized by the Center in the month of February of the following year. His Eminence emphasized the importance of adopting stable dialogue to bring religions closer, facing extremism and exaggeration, referring to the historical sites constituted by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in this field, knowing that the Kingdom was the first to protect and support Lebanon, and to launch dialogue between his sons.
From his side, Mr. Faisal Bin Muammar confirmed that the conference will include the work on the possibility of launching a platform for dialogue between religious leaders and institutions in the Arab Region, in order to form a framework in relations between religious leaders. It has been shown to His Eminence the Center launching document, its establishment and activities, confirming on the success in numerous programs and efforts on which the center worked and executed in the Arab World.
